Why do you need to verify? Well first you can't use rank restricted areas on your guild's site. Good enough reason, eh?
Go to your guild's site. If you are logged into a character on that guild's roster you will see a red blinking "
Notice" at the top right area of the site. This is next to where the "Register" and "Character Management" were located. You will need to click on that notice. When you do you will have a box popup. It will ask you for your "Membership password"
This was set buy the site admin, and your guild leader or the site admin will need to get this to you. Many guilds put this in the Guild Information in game, or will give it to you upon being accepted into the guild. This should not be something you readily give you to strangers. There is a password no matter what your site admin or guild leader might say it is a required step in the site creation. Once you put the password in, if it is correct, you will get a notice telling you it was.
Another way would be to go to your "Character Management" like you would to add another character. Only this time you will want the "Guild" tab. There will be a button that says "Join YourGuildName". Click on it and it will have a similar field to clicking on the "Notice". You will need to put your guild's password into the field and click "Go". If everything checks out you should be verified.
Reasons why you might not be able to verify:
- Your character isn't on the WoWArmory
- The WoWArmory hasn't updated to add you to the guild roster
Possible fixes:
- Visit your character's profile on the WoWArmory
- Have your Site Admin do a force roster update
- Have your Site Admin manually add you until the WoWArmory updates you status
