  • The Social Rank  |  Sunday, June 14, 2009 - 8:30 AM
This guide explains the social rank, and the limitations that come with it.

About
The social rank exists to allow friends of < Twilight > that may not meet some of our normal entry requirements to join the guild. They hold a reduced expectation in regards to Raiding attendance but must still follow all of the other guidelines.

Joining
Invitation to join the guild as a Social member is entirely at the discretion of the Guild Leader, Officers and Class Leaders (other members please discuss with one of the aforementioned ranks if you have a friend that wishes to join), the guilds application process should NOT be used when joining as a social member as this is for Raider members only. Upon joining the guild players will hold the Trial rank for a minimum of two weeks while their conduct and attitude are evaluated to ensure they are appropriate. We will only accept new socials who know our members in real life.

Expectations
While the Social rank's entry requirements in regards to gear and the ability to raid regularly may be relaxed their  main character and specification must be clearly understood so they can be evaluated for raid inclusion, as it is expected they will provide a top-up for raid composition. Class Leaders will still review their gear regularly and recommend relevant upgrades as they do with all members of the class they are responsible for, however it is not their or any Raider members responsibility to gear up Social members.

Raiding
Socials can not sign up for raid. Social members may of course raid with the guild but understand that Raider members always take precedence in raids over them. Socials  will be used to make up numbers if insufficient Raider members exist at the time the raid starts, however if a Raider turns up late for a scheduled event Social members will be the first to be exchanged at the discretion of the Raid Leader.

Promotion & Demotion
Socials can apply to be a raider. Only can they do so when a position for their class/specc is open for recruitment. They also have to meet our gearing, performance and experience requirements. They have 2 weeks to trial for a raider. They have to speak to a relevant CL to apply for a raider. Failure to pass trial willl lead to demotion to social again.

Social Events
In addition to the raid events Social events may also be created in the Schedule outside of regular raiding times that all members are invited to attend. To suggest ideas for these events contact an Officer or CL named in Our History & Organisation.
