  • Responsibilities Officer Rank.  |  Saturday, March 6, 2010 - 9:00 AM
General
Officers are charged with ensuring the needs of the Guild are met in regards to the specific class they are responsible for, helping Members with any questions they may have about the Guild or the game and assisting High Counselor wherever possible. When a Officer is unavailable for any reason (unable to attend the 3 raids per week minimum) they should note in their AFK post who will be assisting that class in their absence. Every officer will be responsible for 1-2 Classes and must know them in extreme detail regarding talent, gear and performance.

With in the Officer ranks we will also have Recruitment Officer in charge of recruitment and advertising. And Treasurer responsible for the Guild Bank. Raid Leaders are also apart of the Officers.

Class Population
Officers will review and report to Recruitment Officer when a vacant position with in their class needs to be filled. Officers will review all applications and especially those belonging to their class. They will reply to application with constructive comments should the applicant need any changes in talents, gear, enchants or gemming. They also have a say if they think the applicant would fit our raiders team or not. It's important that all officers look at all applications, they need to be well informed because when it comes to inviting or promotion, their opinion does matter.

Promotion, Demotion & Kicking
Officers will monitor their class in the Guild and performance within raids over a minimum 1 week (or 4 raid) and maximum 3 week period before making a recommendation regarding whether they should be promoted to full Members or asked to leave the guild. Officers should seek confirmation from another Officer or High Counselor before promoting Trials so the decision is not down to a single individual. Officers should invite Members alts upon request in accordance with the rules set out in Responsibilities – All Members. Officers can not promote Core Raiders/Raiders to Offcers. Altough they will have their say in the matter, the promotion to an Officer will only be done by High Counselor or Guild Leader. Officers must never promote, demote, kick and/or subsequently re-invite any Member without good reason, and never for amusement. When a Officer kicks a player for a valid reason they must post on the forum clearly stating the reason why that Member was removed from the guild.

Raids
When forming a raid, Officer will help the Raid Leader in choosing the right players for the boss fights ahead. We sometimes have BoE drops that are needed by guild members and to avoid allot of confusion regarding whether the item should be sold for GB or distributed to members, it‘s important that officers are well aware of what items are BiS for their class. After raids they will analyze their class performance and see if there is a room for improvement.

Forum Participation
Officers are expected to have an increased responsibility for participating in the guild forums, reviewing all posts, responding to questions that any Member may have and posting new content regarding their specific class (especially before and after new patches). Officers should also post information about the best builds for that class, the most effective rotations and the current hit cap (if they are DPS and considering raid makeup).

Class Reviews
Officers should continually review, discuss and recommend gear, gems, enchants and add-ons that Members of their class should possess to ensure that they are performing to the best of their abilities in raid situateons. Officers should help Members identify which gear they should be seeking whether it be via reputation, heroics or Raids (assisting the RL with mediation when the Loot Council is required).

Specification
Officers must approve any main or alternate spec switch of a Member in that class (ensuring a suitable balance and raid performance across the Guild is maintained), and when doing so ensure that the Guild information is updated accordingly (following the format main spec, off spec: - e.g. tank, dps.

Thread was updated with the new ranks responsibility. Most of it had already been written by Trickylion.
